Why Magnesium Solutions

When you choose to partner with Magnesium Solutions as your investment casting source, whether for your production or prototype needs, you can rest assured you will never regret that decision. It's extremely rare today to find a blend of the latest technology along with old world craftsmanship; but that is exactly what you will experience at Magnesium Solutions.

Other investment casting facilities would be hard-pressed to match, not only the experience of our team, but the integrity we pose along with a wide array of services we provide.

The Magnesium Solutions team consists of a group of handpicked members that have a combined 450+ years' experience in the investment casting industry. This team brings not only the experience to provide you with unsurpassed quality and service but a can-do attitude for all projects we undertake. The word CAN'T is not in our vocabulary.

Magnesium Solutions can provide you with your product in any state that you choose. From raw castings to complete to print including; machining, heat treating, coating, assembly, and packaging if you so choose.

Not having to rely on outside sources to construct world-class production tooling is extremely valuable. This is accomplished in our fully equipped Advanced Technology Center. This gives us total control of tool design and the ability to add that little bit extra that sets us apart from our competition, not to mention the ability to compress delivery schedules if required. This in conjunction with our ability to cast cavities can reduce your tooling cost dramatically in some cases.

Since 1998 our rapid prototyping services and in-house wax pattern printing capabilities have allowed us to produce patterns at a quality level that is unmatched. Our first Thermo Jet Printer was serial number 0005!

Aristo Cast pioneered the application of using G2 material in rapid prototyping, and allows us to be the only investment casting company to offer concept-to-casting in 24 hours. One thing for sure, castings manufactured by Aristo Cast will meet or exceed your expectations.

Our in-house rapid prototyping equipment includes:

  • Six – 3D Systems® Thermojet Wax printers
  • One – Voxeljet VX 500 printer
  • One – Dimension SST ABS printer
  • One – Solidscape® 3Z MAX wax printer
  • Two – 3D Systems® Pro Jet CP-3510 Printers

We also have the capability of using Quick Cast and Cast Form patterns as well as providing SLA's.

Shells in 8 hours

We pioneered the use of G2 Technologies for shell building and are able to make shells in less than 8 hours.

Reverse Engineering

Our in-house blue light 3D scanners give us the capabilities to reverse engineer your parts to create a solid model file. We are able to scan parts starting at 0.250 inches to 10 feet in size.

We use a DCC/CMM (Hexagon) for dimensional validation and SPC data if required. The above mentioned blue light scanner can also be used to visually validate your part to a solid model file.

Internal Visual Inspection

We use a Borescope for inspection on all internal cavities. If required we would be able to provide you with pictures of the interior areas inspected.

Our in-house spectrometer is used to ensure your alloy meets the desired chemistry specification.

We use Mastercam X7, GibbsCam 2013 and Magic's 17 software, along with the ability to digest and/or modify virtually all solid model files.

Concurrent Engineering

When requested, we will send out one of our highly talented engineers to aid in your design for investment casting to optimize the processes capabilities and minimize your cost. This upfront engineering can save dramatically when all things are considered, such as weight and strength requirements and whether we can combine two or more details to eliminate assembly. We can help with your selection of the correct alloy and heat treat along with coating. These alone can help you get it right the first time. Couple these with our ability to supply an ABS model of your part for form-and-fit verification and you'll understand the added value you receive when working with Magnesium Solutions.
